Capacitive touch glass serves as the protective cover layer for touch sensor modules. It is typically manufactured from high-clarity glass through precision CNC machining, edge strengthening, and optional surface treatments such as AF (anti-fingerprint), AR, or AG coatings. Its primary role is to provide structural protection while maintaining stable optical transmission and supporting accurate touch sensitivity.
The surface of the cover glass requires high flatness, suitable dielectric properties, and sufficient hardness to ensure precise signal coupling and long-term operational stability. Optical characteristics, edge quality, and dimensional tolerances play a critical role in overall touch accuracy and assembly reliability.
