UV & IR Blocking Glass is engineered to selectively attenuate ultraviolet and infrared radiation while maintaining stable and usable visible light transmission.
By integrating functional coating technology with controlled optical design, this glass protects sensitive components from UV exposure, reduces infrared-induced heat load, and contributes to long-term system stability in optically demanding environments.
Typical UV blocking performance exceeds 99% for wavelengths below 380 nm, while infrared attenuation achieves over 90% within the 780–2500 nm range. Under standard configurations, visible light transmittance is maintained at ≥85%, ensuring a balanced combination of optical clarity and thermal control.
For applications requiring enhanced infrared suppression, IR blocking performance can be increased to up to 95%, with corresponding adjustments in visible transmittance. Optical parameters are optimized through substrate selection and coating structure to meet specific application priorities.
